Solar Pro 4’s discount ends in three steps, not the one cliff the trackers printed
Upstage’s own card puts the model at $0.09 per million input tokens from 11 September, and at $0.30 only from 10 October.
Upstage’s pricing page schedules Solar Pro 4 through three dated tiers, not two. The promotional rate of $0.03 input and $0.12 output runs to 11 September. A transitional tier of $0.09 and $0.36, three times the promotional rate, then runs to 10 October. Standard pricing of $0.30 and $1.20, ten times the promotional rate, begins only after that.
A widely cited price tracker recorded this as a single tenfold increase landing on 10 September, the steepest move on its whole list. The vendor’s card contradicts both the date and the shape: the step this week is threefold, and the tenfold gap arrives a month later.
Every figure on the page is quoted exclusive of 10 per cent VAT, which no aggregator carries. Cached input is priced separately at each tier, at $0.006, $0.018 and $0.06, holding at a fifth of input throughout.
What it changes Anyone who budgeted a tenfold cost cliff for this week has a month of runway at threefold instead. Read the vendor card before you act on any aggregator’s price calendar, including on the models where its number looked right.
Upstage’s page prints the promotion schedule but no publication or last-edited date, so the possibility that the schedule was revised inside the window cannot be excluded. That revision is also the likeliest explanation for the tracker’s mismatch.
